Just a general "Yay!"....
.... My UK babies have come home to Australia, finally!! After a 14 hour round trip - long story involving wharfies - my guitars have made it to Hervey Bay...

.... John happy!
And of course my guitar fixing tools from Jersey have also appeared! Much happiness in my house as the kids toys and Lucys stuff has also arrived....

Good stuff.
And assembling all that stuff should keep you off the streets, which can only be a good thing for the local women and children.

Yep.... Urchin! I bought the body across in my suitcase and the rest followed by sea. It's nice to have 'em around me again I can tell you....
Later in the year, we'll sort out the stuff in NZ, I think!

Re: Just a general "Yay!"....
Oh, that I could bulk order sets! My preference these days is Ernie Ball 0.050, 0.034, 0.024W, 0.018W, 0.013 and 0.010, which of course the local shop doesn't do!
I've found an eBay seller who does bulk EB singles, but he's in England....

Re: Just a general "Yay!"....
Ugh I bought an electric recently and it came with acoustic strings with a wound G on it. Honestly it sounded good, but no way could I play like that all the time

Thanks chaps; the crab is liking the comments....
I know, I know... I just like the sound that a wound 3rd gives; makes me old and crusty, I know! Having bought a slightly heavier set for at leas one guitar - the SP1012 - I can also tell y'all at this stage my fingertips hurt like buggery....

Re: Just a general "Yay!"....
... and here they are, all strung up with some expensive strings!! I'll tell you, they all have different wee quirks and riffles when played, but the Spectrums really are a cut above; very, very good guitars!!
The Vantage has to be the lightest guitar I've ever played; it makes the Specs feel quite leaden on the shoulder, eh!! I've hot wired the volume knob; it's just wide open now

We've decided just to have everything packed up and sent over from NZ; should be here middle of next month...
Mmmmmmmm... travelling cases chocka with gear, guitars, keyboards, PA.... chainsaw...

Spectrums rule baby!
One of the best all round workhorse guitars ever made methinks.
And a smiling nod in the direction of its cousin, the Vantage Avenger too.
