Mind, it's coming on, hardware all polished & gold plated, 99% of dings & scratches polished out & a re fret with Jim Dunlop 6100 almost completed. Its taught me that a re fret isn't something to undertake lightly Evil or Very Mad

Really gorgeous speckling on the belly, though. Good to see you're still nibbling away at it, Fish. Very Happy

Going to town there Mike. I know your a perfectionist though. Surely a simple dressing and recrown ,lol, would have done the trick.

Looking forward to the pics. Smile

And still rising..

Hi Ice Cool yeah still nibbling away. particularly now the nights are drawing in & having put my
other toys to bed for the winter. Just catching up on here, see you haven't been idle cyclops

Been working on the Rainbow II for a couple of weeks now, on & off. The top is nicely speckled,
especially after a good flat & polish but not quite to the standard of Damian's Rainbow II, that's a nice guit.

What happened to the X350 MA ''that may have been for sale'' :?: I'd have thought you'd have been around there with your boots blacked

Couldn't get the action down Damian, without 7 to 10 frets sharing the same note on high E & varying around the same frets on the other strings. Truss rod adjustment didn't help. Couldn't work out what was going on so decided to go back to basics & level the board, just finished tidying up the new frets & they're all ringing out now cheers The Rainbow's looking good, I'd have taken some pics but its been peeing down all day Very Happy

See the ''Rainbow ll not cheap'' went for £477.60, I think that's a good price with a case Twisted Evil Wouldn't have wanted to pay the shipping mind.

Not really sure Mike. Last we heard from Dap9 the owner was planning on putting on the 'bay, but I have not seen it yet.

It will require quite an involved resto for whomever scores it in any case.
