Is that a standard headstock logo on that one??

That's an odd one. The info we have shows the more familiar logo, but the guitar itself appears correct otherwise. The serial makes it a 1980 but again we show it as having been production-ized from '83.
Perhaps an early prototype.

I think you misread the serial number Barry, it is a 1983 model. And we have seen that logo on Raiders before, for example on the user submitted yellow/blue Raider bass on the website. I actually had no idea the standard Westie logo was ever used on them, so I just learned something! One of the review scans even shows a third logo used on them!

Who's gonna help me out here... if I buy the thing, any of you guys near New Mexico feel like being an agent for me???

I saw this listing also but I am trying to keep my egas in check. Wish me luck with the egas lol. Hope someone here gets this one.

Yup, you're right Warrn. I was going by the seller's description which is obviously wrong. I also missed some of the pix and the one with the faded serial imprint.

I remember in the beginning of the year that there was a REALLY nice looking red Raider II with dual humbuckers on the 'bay, original case and all. I didn't it buy it because I'd bought my Dynasty instead. Now it's been all this time, and STILL haven't seen another like it, anywhere. These are rare birds indeed boys, snatch them up. Man they're pointy, so cool.

Well the pointy points and sparkle are starting to work on me as well as egas so I may may a run on this one.

Well the forces of EGAS and a love for the pointy points on this one got the better of me. I am now the proud owner of this one and can't wait to give her a spin when she arrives. I will post pics and feedback on her when she arrives. EGAS is runnin amuck again so watch out.
