That's an odd one. The info we have shows the more familiar logo, but the guitar itself appears correct otherwise. The serial makes it a 1980 but again we show it as having been production-ized from '83. scratch
Perhaps an early prototype.

I think you misread the serial number Barry, it is a 1983 model. And we have seen that logo on Raiders before, for example on the user submitted yellow/blue Raider bass on the website. I actually had no idea the standard Westie logo was ever used on them, so I just learned something! One of the review scans even shows a third logo used on them! Shocked

Yup, you're right Warrn. I was going by the seller's description which is obviously wrong. I also missed some of the pix and the one with the faded serial imprint. Embarassed

I know I'm a ways from New Mexico John, but if he is unwillling to ship out of the country I would be more than happy to act in your stead and send it along via Minnesota.

PM me at your earliest convenience to let me know.... so I can rationalize away the temptation to bid myself. Laughing

Nah, Ice - though thank you for the offer, man!!... reality has taken hold and I'm out!! I've got the U60 to carry on with, I've already got a guitar in the US to collect and we're moving to Australia in January which means there's 5 guitars already to transport... *sigh*

Go get it, fellas!!!

I though you wanted the sparkly ones! Very Happy

I remember in the beginning of the year that there was a REALLY nice looking red Raider II with dual humbuckers on the 'bay, original case and all. I didn't it buy it because I'd bought my Dynasty instead. Now it's been all this time, and STILL haven't seen another like it, anywhere. These are rare birds indeed boys, snatch them up. Man they're pointy, so cool. Very Happy

Well the forces of EGAS and a love for the pointy points on this one got the better of me. I am now the proud owner of this one and can't wait to give her a spin when she arrives. I will post pics and feedback on her when she arrives. EGAS is runnin amuck again so watch out.
