I often muse as to what some sellers had done to achieve that oh-so-battered-look.
Methinks I found me answer:
Spin Spin Whoops!

lol!

Too funny! I like the "Unphased" spin. Smacks that idiot right upside the face!!! He deserved it for thinking his cursing lyrics are necessary. Dummy.

I've never wanted to do a guitar/bass spin. This makes me even less interested in doing so. Funny stuff though!

I watched Blackmore do this in 1974/75 in New Zealand and was appropriately amazed - I was 14 - but I can honestly say I've never felt the urge to try it; it occurred to me there was SO much that could go wrong in a stunt like that and I only ever had the one guitar and couldn't afford to break it!! I know, I know... not very "Rock'n'roll", eh!!

Cheers Barry, for posting the link...

I'm sure you'd be OK with a Rail bass, it would be a lot safer than some of them pointy guitars.

I have a Dimension bass too though! Laughing Yeah, a Rail would be safer to swing, but also much more likely to break if it flew away.

My poor ol' thunder suffered a cracked neck due to this tick going horribly wrong..... After much thinking which "specially for this job" glue I could use, I met Hugh Manson at a music show who told me good old superglue would be best. still strong after all these years! Would never try it again.

Ouch! You were lucky CA (super glue) worked OK for you, assuming it was a crack in the wood. Generally you would use a PVA or hide glue for that sort of repair, and the CA for cracks and dings in the finish. Good outcome nevertheless.

The crack was/is from the nut towards the body starting where the fingerboard joins neck to about halfway between 1st n 2nd fret an about 4mm into neck wood. I too was surprised at HM's superglue recommendation as it is in the neck material itself. It was a awful job forcing open the crack to get the glue in.
