Yep, your probably right.
Place a lolly pop stick either side, insert the term pivot post and find a suitable lever or levers and remove.
Prise it out, like removing a tooth. What a Face

The easiest and least damaging way to remove bridge pins is to gently tap them out from the inside of the guitar!

Inside? Not sure if I understand what you are saying. They arent accessible from the underneath as far as I can tell.

The reason I'm asking how to remove is I have a crazy project in mind that will involve replacing the trem with a fixed bridge. So If I can get the bridge pins out without harming the face of the guitar, I know I will have to fill the holes as well as the trem cavity - Its going to be a big undertaking I know, but its part of a bigger project that I have plans for.

Hang on - you're talking about the bridge posts on a solid body, right?! I thought you were on about an acoustic!!

What sort of trem bridge? If it's a Bendmaster, they have threaded posts into a fluted sleeve and are quite easy to remove.

Yes it is a Pantera 300. They are threaded? I thought they get tapped into place?

The actual posts are threaded - they have to be so that you can adjust the bridge for height. The fluted sleeve that they screw into can be normally carefully prised up with the post screwed in as far as it will go and a small pry bar with a nail hook at the end - and a piece of padding between the bar and the surface of the guitar - placed gently where the bridge plate sits and a little leverage applied, trying to keep the pull straight up, and not leaning towards the neck - you don't want to bruise the wood. I wouldn't go mad though as this is fraught with danger if you slip or the tool slips....

This is the beast in question, yes??
