Re: Bloody hell...
Hasn't this, or a similar Thunder with an SC replacement been around before? Is this a new trend that I should take note of ?

Re: Bloody hell...
Knew I should have checked here, before _I_ asked!
I guess if he has multiple people asking THAT question, instead of anything about his travesty, he may realise his mistake?
Westbone, did you make any 'attitude' towards his auction?

Re: Bloody hell...
I've been there, bought a "modified one of a kind" 1982 Thunder I-A, then muttered lots of swear words while un-customising it!

How it looked
..............................and how it looks today, un-customised!

Re: Bloody hell...
Do like the grain on that one. What pups did you use or did you find some mmk45's.
Notice on the one for sale the bridge pup is a neck pup, pole pieces are way out and upside down.

Re: Bloody hell...
I got lucky on fleabay with some MMK45's. I managed to get one pair and an extra bridge p/up around the same time, I still have the extra one stashed for a rainy day! At the time I also fitted one of the last set of brass knobs from David over at Westone Spares.

Looks like the neck S/C is the wrong way round as well, the wires usually face the bridge. Might have something to do with which coil on the H/B the coil tap cuts out?Notice on the one for sale the bridge pup is a neck pup, pole pieces are way out and upside down.

Re: Bloody hell...
Wonder what happened to the original purchaser?
So, he originally got one bid for £100, but now it starts at £50 and has a BIN price of £200? Dream world, methinks? Would it get £200 if it was completely original?

Tie me kangeroo down sport, tie me kangeroo down.
Tan me hide when i've died.
£200, streuth. Springbok steak for tea.
Wayout. Looks Asif it's been attacked by a rampant piece of loose sandpaper.
Talk about slag it off, go for it.
Fancy the flashing diode in the neck posi.
