Looks to be in quite good condition, complete with finger jam.

Another one with a possibly wrong description - they've lifted it off westone.info , but probably the wrong bit. Given the date of the guitar (August 82) I think this is more likely to have the controls as volume/active and passive tone/ active gain but the sellers copied the description for the later active circuit, volume, passive tone, active tone with fixed gain.

Like Barry said... "mmmmm"

What's going on with the pickup in close-up on the photobucket photos? Is that red ink/ paint or something reflecting? Or did he really "played it till my fingers bled" :?:

I've got the later version with the bird logo in pearl white. A fine instrument ! I would think that £150 is a fair starting price on this beast.

I was watching this one very closely, but in the end it was slightly too rich for me.

As an aside, apart from the obvious physical differences of stoptail/bridge and set neck, what are the practical, noticeable, differences between the Thunder 2A and the Thunder 1A.

PS: Don't worry, I'm not thinking of buying this one: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Westone-Thunder-2A-Electric-Guitar-Active-1983-Model-/320574297595?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV&hash=item4aa3b795fb

Play one you'll find out. Different pups. Different woods.
