'81 Thunder I (350!)

Another day, another overpriced Westone!

HERE we have an 1981 Thunder I, I'm not sure if it's finished in Walnut or the rarely seen Ash Black, but it looks original and in one piece.

I wasn't going to bother putting this on here because of it's price but the text is classic.

A quote from the seller,

Unique in that the neck looks like a bolt on neck but is actually a set neck and made to look that way for easier access to the higher frets.
WTF!!! As far as I understand, the 4 big wood screws bolting the separate neck to the body make this a bolt neck, or am I missing something? And of course why would you want anyone to know you have one of them butt ugly, hard to reach set necks when you can disguise it as a bolt neck and get improved neck access as a bonus!

Oh well, good luck selling that, especially at that price.

I'm off to screw a neck plate onto my SG, just to see if it improves the access to the dusty end of the fretboard

The seller or shall I call him something starting with an i... or with a m..., is not really bright lighted.

But a bolt on neck is bolt on neck is a bolt on neck.

Oh lord send brain down, ... and don't miss this time, please.
