Here's a challenge, it's a SPECTRUM MX BODY in need of some repair.

The damaged piece could be fixed (i think!), but I can't help thinking there is maybe a more serious problem waiting to be found?

I can't understand how someone managed to break it in that area Suspect, and as for finding the correct parts to finish it.........No nightmare!(unless you are lucky enough to have an MX minus it's body that is!!!! Shocked )

One for the most hardcore of Westone nut I reckon!

What a GD shame.
As far as I'm concerned it's the neck that makes the Mats.
No neck? No Mats guitar! No matter how good/bad/repairable the body.

Yeah, gotta agree but will add that yes, the neck is right up there but so are the MMK45 p'ups and this has neither so it's really just fire wood. But... it's blue... and a Spectrum... and cheap...NO!! I must not... the blue neck makes an MX an MX! Laughing

Gather 'round the campfire chil'ren, and I'll tell you a story.

Once upon a time their was a great guitar called MX.
One day, MX tripped on it's G string and broke it's little neck.
A Corsair swooped in and plucked the 45's from it's still beating body.
And now...it warms us as we roast our weenies.
The end.

This one went for £5.50 (+£6 p+p within UK), wow thats a bargain, just got to find everything else to finish it. Brave brave man! No

(Lets hope we dont see it back up in a few months with a truck load of Strat parts holding it together! Rolling Eyes )

Its South African for BBQ ... I lived there in the mid 80's during my Africa travels!
