First post and I am an avid Mostumoku fan.  I have an 86 Westone Spectrum that has the black plastic knobs.  I want to upgrade to the metal ones that were stock on the Electra Westone guitars from 1984-85.  I read the thread about the guy who made the repros but it looks like the mold he used is toast.

Mate, if you've got three plastic Switchmaster knobs, I'd be dead-set happy with that, eh; those knobs are about as common as chickens' lips!!! Laughing

I am starting understand how rare the metal ones are. Think I will start looking for a beat up Electra Westone and swap them out.

Bear in mind that the Electra Phoenix didn't have them - by and large! - they are peculiar to Westone!

These days you're doing well to find switch master knobs of any kind...metal or plastic!
These were one of Tom Presley's better ideas, er, accidents, IMHO.
I'm surprised no one has ever copied the idea.

Early 1984 I think is your best bet for finding the metal ones.  My Early '84 Electra/Westone Dynasty has the metal knobs, however my later 1984's had plastic.

I appreciate the feedback from the experts on here. I am completely infatuated with these guitars.

The 84 Thunder Jet bass had them too.
