As with most neck/head stock repairs making it strong again is the easy part. Trying to match the finish is way harder especially that gorgeous pearl white!

But so cheap! Worth it for the pups alone eh?
Do it John, do it. Twisted Evil

I'm watching it, don't you worry!! I have a sister in law in Auckland who can do the necessary pickup...

Colour matching problems and finishing?! With my painter?! I think not!

Went for NZ$105, so cheap enough!!

Not to me, I hasten to add, though I thought long and hard about it... I would rather buy another microphone or something similar and I can't bring myself to like Thunders... something about their shape irks me...

Oh...BOO! HISS! No

The Thunders are the dog's bollix. Great guitars.
Just the thing, I would have thought, for "big stiff string man".

Yeah, yeah...

... you know how Damian really doesn't like the shape of a Spectrum?!? Well, that's how the Thunders - and the Concords! - appear to me, fine guitars that they undoubtedly are!!
I cannot explain it. Mind you, I've only ever seen 2 Thunders in the flesh, 1 at a pawn shop in Deception Bay here when we first got back to Aus, and it was a lefty, and I discovered  - only last month, mind you, that Don has one in his stash as well!!
Never seen a Concord, but have seen and played a Padauk.
