Looks like it was a 1A originally as there seems to have been 3 toggle switches under the control knobs.

Head stock has been painted too, and I guess the body also.

So probably a good job the photos are a bit "blurry"...

One of ye lucky limeys should head south of the Isle for that.  I mean that in a Terrence Stamp-kicks-ass sorta way... not derogatory at all.

... the truss rod cover says "Thunder I", there's no holes in the control cover for a PCB to me mounted on and, probably most significantly, no battery cover either.  on balance, i'd say the 2 extra holes for the toggle switches that have been filled are rather misleading.
