Chat Box Added to the Forums

I've puzzled over this for awhile and I've decided to give it a trial run.
You can now chat in real time with registered members who are currently online with you.

You'll see another banner at the very top of the page with the Forumotion logo, (yet another) search bar, some social media links on the left. On the right you'll see a welcome message plus the latest notifications (posts).

But the big deal is the Chat Box link. Click it, and a box appears in which you can communicate in live time with fellow members who are also online. Click on the link to open or close the box.

I can make some cosmetic and size changes, but I first want to see if htere's interest before I invest more time. Please note that you need to login again in order to use it.

Give it a try and give us your feed back.

Just a quick addendum:
If you're puzzled about how to get started, simply go to the Home page and scroll right to the bottom. You'll see an indication of how many registered users and guests are currently online, as well as how many users (if any) are in the Chat Box already.

If you see someone you want to chat with login to the box and direct a comment to him. The other member is free to reply or ignore you.

You can also find the chat box at the bottom of the Home Page.

Just curious to hear if you've had a chance to try out the chat box yet.
It is a busy time of year so perhaps not the best time to be asking, but I am anyway!  

I've had a couple of quick chats and it has worked well. Timing is the key though, and because we're such a scattered bunch globally, perhaps the folks you wish to talk to are not online when you are. Can't do much about that unfortunately, but try this:

When you're logged in to check new posts, also login to the chatbox. You'll see a number in parentheses indicating how many people are in the box, yourself included, (if you see (1) then it's only you!)

Remember to check the bottom of the Home page to see who's currently online.

Please give it a try and if there's no interest come January'sh I'll remove it.
