The new Westone Presitge?
Upon the reception of my second Prestige, I had to lay them out together and see... was the Electra Talon really the new Prestige?
What do you think?
Seeing them all together, it's undeniable. The Electra Talon was absolutely designed from the Prestige. It's a modern, made for aggressive music, 24 fret, Floyd version of the Prestige wearing an Electra wave headstock.
Pretty interesting, though you men would like to see it.

Good photo.
How do you find the 150 in comparison with the 250 regards tone/sound?

Re: The new Westone Presitge?
Great question, it is different.
The 150 sustains a little better, surprisingly. Timing sustained notes until noticeable decay, along with some chords up the neck, the 150 is better sustaining on everthing. Although both are sustain monsters, among the best I've experienced. The 150 is a little more clear, as well. The 250 is beefier in tone. Interesting, since both are 1982 and made in August. It's down to the guitar construction I'd say?
However the strings are different. Old strings on the 150, and brand new Cobalts on the 250. Which should make the 250 sound brighter, but it doesn't.
Both sound very good. Just different, like a Gibson Studio and Custom.

Re: The new Westone Presitge?
Depends on a good few things.
Height of the pups, strings.
Only way you can test them is if they're set up the same.
Class guitars though, quality!!!

Nice! Well done, Chad - and Mike! - for making this happen!
It's a stunner, for sure but that Talon is the business, and yes - just a slight resemblance there!! Although... I've never been a huge fan of the wave headstock, and the Talon might have benefitted from a more symmetric headstock? YMMV, and anyway... that's a classy, classy trio!

Re: The new Westone Presitge?
Yeah the macho Talon name does lose some of its aggressive image on a Gumby headstock!

I like the wave Gumby! Adds a unique look. Others have done a similar thing, an aggressive guitar with conservative features. The Wave stock was Electra's thing in the heyday.
