The last one....
.... i know I've said this before, but this'll very likely do me on the guitar front! I've already got far too many that I don't play and I'm actually at the stage of considering divesting myself of a few?!
Anyway, as a companion piece to the Corsair Avenger, herein the Bougainville Avenger, done as a tribute to the Aussie infantry who fought and died there in 44/45....
... the inspiration for both guitars, my father who flew Corsairs over Bougainville, amongst other places! Now 92...

He looks very much at home with it though.

Re: The last one....
You know, this sounds as good as it looks - I'll get round to uploading some sound clips at some stage when I get some time and figure out how to do it and do justice to the sound!! Perhaps put through a small amp, to a PA and miked up? I don't want to DI it into the computer as I reckon you've got to be able to feel your pants flap in the breeze created by speakers for a guitar to sound genuine!
Exceptionally light on the strap, I have to say; certainly much lighter than any of my Westones!! The Pantera is an absolute beast on the shoulder - heavy as!! - and even the Spectrums feel heavy after this little bundle of joy!

Yeah, really like this model too. Very comfy to play, especially when Artur Itis comes to visit Mr. Shoulder.

Re: The last one....
Well, as it turns out, it's not the last at all!
I am not to be trusted. Really. Don't.
Another Vantage Avenger in rag order but complete for A$120 to my door was too much for this kiwi and it's due on Monday.
Tomorrow.
*sigh*

I'm that way with cheese curls.
Very cool, those Avengers are smartly styled guitars. What will you do with this new one?

Re: The last one....
It really is a Pavlovian response, you know!! Really nice looking guitars in good order; no bother, not even roughly interested, but a tatty, well-used or unloved Uncle Matt and I'm automatically framing the whining and wheedling to Lucy and looking at eBay for new tuners, bridges etc.
I am ashamed.
But quite happy!!

I really don't know. Obviously upgrade some of the hardware, but as to a finish, I don't know.
Open to suggestion, though!!
One (fleeting!) thought was a graphic of my childrens' faces.... a bit naff, I know, and since binned as an idea!
Another was the reflex paint used on TVR cars; but realistically, that sort of expenditure on a A$100 guitar would, in fact, see me living on a park bench, without testicles.
