Hey all,

Recently acquired a 1984 Thuder 1-A bass (Black), looking to restore it back to it's former glory (with a tweak or two).

Need recommendations for replacement bridges, preferably ones with matching screw holes to make it as easy as possible plus any advice.

In addition I want to replace the pickup but want to keep the wiring (eg the active circuit) any tips/advice/recommendations?

If you ask around here someone may have the parts you're looking for. the pick ups in those are already great, it might be an idea to get it all done then think about replacing the pups if you dont like them?

I replaced the pickup when I managed to damage the coils on mine in this project.
I replaced with DiMarzio P-bass  (recommended by Westbone) see here and I bought them from Thomann in Germany.
Must say they are very good, slightly hotter and cleaner than the originals.
