BASS - Suzuki bass guitar Empty Suzuki bass guitar

I everyone. I've been speaking to a guy in the states about his Suzuki/suguki? Bass, he may be reading the z wrong?
Anyway, it looks just like a thunder 3 from a distance.
Anyone have any info on these. He got it new in 83.
Any help would be much appreciated.
