Watching a concord 3 that is bereft of pickups. On the slim chance that I get it - what would be a suitable pickup set to go in? Nowt stupid expensive, mind.. I guess the actual Westy pickups are rare as dinosaur poo, and priced accordingly. .?

Good luck.

that's a concord ii without all the brass n gold hardware mind.
another case of unpleasant grain/woods under a painted finish, has a certain charm though.

I have a set (or 3!) of concord II pickups which I could probably part with, though I don't have a C-III set I'm afraid.

The gold and platinum grade are very decent pups for the price.

Concord I+II pickups are err...not too clever, crap! Just cheap ceramic jobbies.

I've actually got a set of Ironstone's in a guitar I cobbled together. They weren't the gold or platinum.. Silver, maybe..

I have the platinum set in a concord II, sound great if a little low on volume, the originals were much louder however, I wouldn't go so far as to say they're "crap!" just a bit flat/dead sounding, but a little chorus and they liven up just fine...
