Frozen pot. Your thoughts? Empty Frozen pot. Your thoughts?

My Electra X330's got a frozen tone pot.  It started working intermittently and then froze solid.  Deoxit or WD? I have a contact cleaner I'd used on auto parts, is that worth a shot?  Thoughts, please.

And yes, I realize that this thread's title is dubious.   Suspect   Laughing

Definitely not WD40! It leaves a residue which will insulate the contact points.
Go with the Deoxit...then yank it like a monkey in a Mango tree.  What a Face
Apply a few times if needed and let it sit a little between applications.

If it won't release it's buggered. Replace it. Life's too short.

DeOxit did the trick.  All better.

Did you yank the monkey, choke the chicken or beat the bishop?

Yes, DeOxit = gold.

Graham... I did have to twist the knob a lot.
