Rainbow I VS Session II?
I have a gorgeous Rainbow I which I adore.....I'm on the lookout for a Session II and am wondering
how it plays compared with the Rainbow?
Cheers

Re: Rainbow I VS Session II?
No-one likes a smarty-pants, eh!! There's a Session II up on the bay at the moment, from memory and I would imagine that they're a standard big box jazz sound. I've not had the pleasure of owning either guitar but have played and owned an APII TA60 and an early Ibanez jazz box, and they had a very mellow sound compared to the 335 that once darkened my door! (I hated it and got shot of it very quickly indeed!)

Re: Rainbow I VS Session II?
Hi
I just sold my Rainbow ll and I still have my Session ll. They do share the same pickups but that is about it. The Session is a jazzbox and is great for jazz or blues or fingerstyle. It's beautifully put together and a very fine es175 copy with great tone. So if that is what your after they are very sweet. My Rainbow was a sunburst model and it was mint. It can do it all blues to jazz to rock. Sold it because I wasn't playing it...it didn't talk to me and I have another es-335 copy...a Vantage vsh455. The Session really is sweet...go for it! Kazz

Session II Vs Rainbow 1
Well I managed to pick up a Session II on ebay...
WOW....great guitar....beautiful to look at, a delight to play....very deep mellow sound....scaryily good.
Makes a nice companion to the Rainbow I.....a very different beast.
Those Westone pickups are amazing......
I'll post some pics of the guitars soon
