so many times i wonder, "where do these stories come from"... or maybe, "what are they smokin?" Don\'t Know
i never knew that made-in-japan westones were made at Fender in Fullerton California Laughing and Gibson in Nashville .... Roll on Floor Laff

copied from the listing -
hand made in japan in 1982 w/original westone logo
(no phoenix).after 1983,they used the phoenix logo.
from 81-83,westones were 100% handmade and after 83,
60% of every guitar and bass were handmade w/ the remaining
40% cnc machined.at the time,matsumuko had 190 workers
involved in guitar making-160 at fender/fullerton and 135
at the gibson/nashville plant.these guitars were made to compete
w/ american guitars and basses.they were also made for a limited
time/considered rare.
