anyone have a line on black scratchplate screws in the UK? I'm led to believe they are #4 x 1/2". yet cant seem to find the right looking screws.
I'd rather buy these under the hardware section, rather than pay the extra for their guitar compatibility.
my spectrum came with 8 odd screws in the cavity plates and its time that was rectified

cheers

Had a similar problem not too long ago here. For some reason, just could not find either black or nickel (!) in that size. Since I'm cheap, I didn't want to pay a premium etiher.

Ended up with brass which didn't look bad, not quite right either ya know? Also, they were slot head, not Phillips which made it awkward. Neutral

I took one of my other scratchplate screws down to the Screwfix store, supposed specialists in all things screw.....the guy on the counter reacted like I'd brought in an elephant and asked for an identical one!
somebody somewhere is making these little buggers and I'm not prepared to pay £4 for 10 when surely I can get 100 for £5 somewhere......the wait goes on.
