guitar - guitar boxes Empty guitar boxes

Where most of you get the boxes for shipping your guitars in?

I'm wondering where to get a box big enough for my Session in its case. Does the UPS store have them? (I'm sure for the right price)

Or was thinking of heading down to SamAsh and see if they have any that they would be throwing away.

Very often I use the local cycle store. You get great big strong boxes in there for free.

Go to any local music store that sells better quality guitars. They'll be only too happy to give you one of the shipping boxes their guitars came in.

I have to break down, flatten, and carry these things out to the recycle box weekly. I'd be happy to give 'em to you to take away, as would any store owner.

Martin and Taylor have about the heaviest out there. Gibson (acoustic) should be OK too. If you can find a Japanese Gretsch that's probably the best.

The buggers! Charging you to take away their trash? True enough you do get a break from the recycle company that hauls it away, but seriously? Screw 'em!
