Re: Funny looking Westone e-guitar
The Fender copies are modern Westone guitars...They are nothing to do with the Japan / Korean Westone models of the 80's that these forums are dedicated to.

In my opinion, the Paduak has the ugliest headstock ever. I would like to see one with a Thunder type head stock - I wonder if the necks are compatible?

1. we need to figure out how much the shipping would be from Germany to you
2. if it's not too expensive, transfer the cash to my paypal account
3. I would then buy that ugly thing for you

Re: Funny looking Westone e-guitar
that one looks to have a changed pickup. both of mine (I,II) have creme trim rings and bobbins.
i wonder what is the fate of the booster circuit, the switches are there (boost, coil split) but who knows what has happened to the wiring once somebody got in there to change the pickup.
still would be well worth the money, no matter the condition of the electronics. the body looks to be very good shape. and a case too?
:speedy: what are we waiting for here?

I'm sorry to say, but the Concord IMO is the Grand winner of the ugliest/cheapist Looking guitar in the Westone line. I'm not saying it is bad. I have never played one. but at first glance it looks like a cheesy cheap POS.. The Paduak at least has the nice wood look, with a nice top to oppose the back.
No offense intended to all those that love them - like I said, I never played one, but they look cheap and ugly IMO

How can you say this is ugly.
Your ill sarc. and must go and see a quack.
If you had one you'd only sand the finish off it anyway.

Ugly IMO. Although the Paduak looks nice because of the wood.
And I will sand down anything that NEEDS it, never one that is good the way it is. I hope you will like how my 350 turns out. My plans are for it to be very very very nice - nice enough to wonder why Westone didn't do, what I'm gonna do.

Re: Funny looking Westone e-guitar
I'll send you a few over you can sand them down for me.
In all seriousness, hope the 350 turns out real good.

I'm getting pretty good at refinishing - the X300 12 string looks brand new. I think I may redo my 390 - it looks amatuer to me now. Practice makes perfect. I don't like doing the sanding part, but with a lot of patience, the finish part makes it more than worth while.

Re: Funny looking Westone e-guitar
Hi guys, I just called the (previous) owner of the Paduak to check measurement and weight for evaluating the shipping cost but he sold it already the other day. OMG why didn't he remove the advert?

Re: Funny looking Westone e-guitar
Yeah...I never used to be all that keen on them, but I had a play on one and was forced to reconsider...

Re: Funny looking Westone e-guitar
1) I can agree that Concords with the second version of the pickguard are ugly. The ones with the original pickguard look really good to me. 2) That 350 did not need sanded.sarcaster wrote:Ugly IMO. Although the Paduak looks nice because of the wood.
