The photos you requested.
It's a 1951 Sunbeam S7 Deluxe. Completely restored in '95 by myself. Theses photos were taken in 2011.

I totally agree with Barry - Know nothing about bikes but can fully appreciate both the original design and the restoration detail.

Thanks for the favourable comments guys Smile It's very comfy to ride. The seats sprung up the top tube. A nice boucy ride!!

Ice, it's also overhead cam, chain driven. Not bad for 1949, or thereabouts.

Ooh drool nice, last time was out on an old brit bike kept changing gears when I wanted to brake.
Always fancied one of these or a Vincent, guess theyre way pricey now tho.

very nice, Damian!! I rather fancy another old pommy bike.. An old Bantam would do, or a Tigress.. nothing too major!! I have only seen the Sunbeams on classic rallies; I've never ridden one, sadly. I did, however, own a Sunbeam Alpine; does that count??!! Laughing

Somewhere around I too have pix of a bike I did up and raced; an old Royal Enfield Bullet... I would have loved an Interceptor but they weren't about in NZ when I was going through my restore and race phase!!

There must be quite a few old Brit plodders over in 'rooland.
Must be a 4 stroke though. I'm on the lookout for another Beeza A10,A65. After I've finished my '77 Electra Glide.

Love the Alpines always liked them but never had one. Had a Sunbeam Stiletto(souped up Imp) for many years. Was like driving a scalextric car, great handling.

Sorry for the late reaction. I am abroad and have limited time and internet access.

Westbone that bike is a beauty!! Love those oldies, in particular the brits: vincent, norton, RE etc always good stuff. I am also impressed you found those tyres for it, must have been tricky.

And she's so shiny.... sunny
