Just a simple and sincere thank you to the members of our citizenry who serve or have served their respective countries in the armed forces.

Over here in the states it is THE weekend for such remembrances but we all certainly can find a moment, I hope, to be thankful for all of our freedoms.

And they never come without a price. Thanks for picking up that tab. cheers

"Men sleep peacefully in their beds at night because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf" - George Orwell

Probably more true now than any time in the past perhaps?! May their gods keep the armed services, policemen and firemen safe, and may the people they serve on behalf of be grateful for their sacrifice.

Canadian Forces are finally coming home from Afganistan after what seems to have been forever over there. What a miserable place and a miserable "war". So much misery and death so that we can sit at our computers and chat about old Japanese guitars.
God bless them all, and thanks.

Now it's over to you, my American cousins. May your stay be brief.

Well...some of our boys(Swedish that is) are still down there Barry. Sorry to say....Same goes for Libya..and many other parts of africa...
BTDT.
2 tours. Lebanon. No
I know we spend time down there in these troubled zones in the name of peace...but the truth of the matter is that these people don´t regard life the way we do.

Yeah it never ends does it?
Canadians have been flying sorties in Libya for weeks if not months now. I don't know how many bombs they've dropped but none of them have hit crazy Mommar yet. But we're working on it!

Mohammar Khadaffi has been on the agenda more than once sorry to say. Of course he´ll bite the dust sooner or later but again...
I dunno Barry. Don´t get me wrong,of course we should stand up for peace and stand tall. That´s not the issue.
The issue is that we deem these countries from our POW and the simple truth of the matter is that those living there more often than not don´t regard life,or the value thereof,as we do.

In many way better to nuke em back to stonehenge and be done with it. If nothing else cause it will spare the lifes of our boys.
Having spent time down there.....i´ll put it this way. I don´t really carry the highest regards for them anymore. Not by a friggin longshot even...

True tho....worst thing good men can do......Mr Burke was in any way imaginable correct.
