trem stabilizers Empty trem stabilizers

Post by Guest Wed Jun 22, 2011 9:36 pm

I know Ive seen some here that use the hipshot or the goldblock but has anyone tried this?

http://www.tremol-no.com/

I have a few goldblocks (not installed yet) but them tremol no sounds cool except the back plate has to be off if you wan to change modes.

I don;t use the trem much so I think I may try it - hope someone here has and can comment

Yup, I've got one. Works perfectly, easy to install and does exactly what you expect. I had it installed on a thunder II.

It's not a trem setter, though,is it... as I understand it either allows use of the trem, or blocks it, rather than returning the thing to the same place every time??

Correct. A buddy has a couple and really likes them.

As far as having to remove the tremolo cavity cover, I generally don't use them. On my custom guitars, I never fit one - no screw holes, no cover. I got the idea from the Eric Johnson strat that came out a few years ago. What's the point? Electronics cavity cover - now that's a different story!

Like colt I usually leave mine off - I think I may try one of these as I don't use the bar nearly as much as the 80;s Smile

The beauty of the tremol-no is that your double-stop bends no longer pull flat. It's also easier to tune or change tunings.
