Thunder I vs. Thunder II guitars Empty Thunder I vs. Thunder II guitars

Hi Everyone,
I noticed the different tailpieces on the Thunder and Thunder II guitars. Can anyone explain why they went to a Les Paul style bridge/tailpiece with the Thunder II guitars?
Thanks,
Bart

I imagine at the time of production The Thunder 1 was manufactured as a budget / beginners guitar. The Thunder II however was a higher end guitar with more expensive components and a set neck, possibly aimed at Les Paul fans, but more affordable than the real thing.

The Thunder II has MMK 53 p/ups(sound good) also has PEQ tone controls. Change the p/ups from series to parallel. Also a phase switch, which only works when both p/ups are on. A real nice guitar. Can sound like a les paul/fender, if you so wish and a bit of inbetweeny as well. Good guitar.
