UNCLE MATS ELECTRA
There was an ELECTRA PHOENIX good condition, went today on ebay for $91.00 aus.
Had Brass nut & the bridge looked strange aswell, had 3 brass thingys. Nice looker though.
The seller used the Mats name to get accross his point that they are a good guitar.
Is this true?.... should I have not been outbidded?.....
cheers,
Richie..
(i know its not a Westone, but is from uncle mat,.... probably as close as i wil get to a Westone here in O.Z)

Re: UNCLE MATS ELECTRA
There was an Electra marketed in Australia? Wow, Electra was sold pretty much only in America. You're much more likely to find a Westone down there. The Electra Phoenix is an early version of the Westone Spectrum though.

Re: UNCLE MATS ELECTRA
Thanks heaps Warrn, I find it hard over here to find the Westone product. I had some good advice from Corsair a while back &
have decided to be patient & find my second Mats guitar. I will keep an eye out for the Electra brand aswell.
Cheers mate!

Re: UNCLE MATS ELECTRA
Heya Richie; yeah Warrens right, the Electras were indeed only marketed in the continental US and are really hard to find elsewhere... mine was a gift from a friend in the US! That said, I've seen 2 for sale in Oz in about 3 years and one was the Dan Armstrong Lucite copy, so they do turn up.
Don't limit yourself to Westone in Australia, though - Aria Pro II and Vantage were both quite strongly represented in Australia, and as for that Electra you saw.... I'd've bought it sight unseen!!

You might want to point him to that kiwi auction site too, John. I don't remember what it was called.
