guitar - Help ID'ing this guitar Empty Help ID'ing this guitar

Post by kevotron Fri May 14, 2010 6:54 pm

I bought this guitar back in 1997 and it has kind of sat in it's box and done nothing since then. I asked what kind of guitar it was back when I bought it and the guy said "Westone something or other." I have looked online and it seems to be a Spectrum GT, is that correct? I dont know! Anyhoo, I had thought about selling it, but I have NO IDEA what the market is. Can anyone help me out? Help me verify exact model and maybe give me a ballpark on what a fair price on these would be. I wasnt sure if I should post here, or in the for sale area, but since I am not even sure what model, I thought I would post here first. It has a few dings here and there and is a bit dusty, but here it is!

Looks to be a Spectrum GT Custom WE6410CKW. CKW means Crackle White. I have no idea what they're worth, but one of the eBay watchers will respond with what they've been known to go for. Looks like it still has the original Dan Armstrong bridge pickup, so that might help its value. If it has that, the singles are probably original too.

Nice... I like the pointies, but then I'm an unreconstructed hair metal fan!! guitar - Help ID'ing this guitar Icon_lol Beautiful condition, too... Anyway, here's where Warrn got the info so now you know as much as we do!!

...so if you get the urge, you could whip the pickups out and let us know what - if anything - is written on them or in the pickup recess?!

LINK

This 1A version just sold dirt cheap on eBay US so there is a jumping off point for you. Yours is a GT so probably would get a little more. But as everyone has seen on here, you never know, it will sell for what the market says it's worth on that particular day.

Super, thanks a lot! I figured if I can get what I paid for it I'd keep it, so I probably wont sell it. Maybe I should plug it in and have some fun.
