1983 Concord I (UK)

Westone Concord 1 Electric Guitar - £0.99p Current Bid.

Don't see many of these two pickup Concords knocking about, and this shape/style only appears in the 1983 catalogue. It looks clean enough with only finger wear on the fretboard visible in the pics.

Should be a nice little player alright, but with that maple fretboard against a "natural" finish it really looks anemic.
And the white scratch plate just makes it look worse.

I don't know what Mats had in mind with that finish but I had that same combination on an old Vantage Avenger 310 that I restored last year. The seller had attempted to paint it (badly) and I had to go to wood and start over. It's now a nice azure blue which looks great, and accentuates the nice maple neck. So I can't fault the previous owner for attempting to change it.

My advice is, grab this one, and get some trans-colour on it, it'll look amazing.
